Microsoft Strengthens Partnership with TCC Technology to Offer Hosted Messaging

New Collaboration Sets its Sights on Becoming Asia’s Premiere Hosting Hub in Preparation for Cloud Computing Services. March 6, 2010 - Two leading technology companies, T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd. (TCCT) and Microsoft (Thailand) Limited today announced their collaboration to offer best-in-class cloud-based solutions and services. The partnership will help these two parties reach a common goal of promoting virtualized servers and Microsoft Hosted Solutions accompanied with real-time elastic computing, energy-efficiency and superior manageability, thus transforming the way in which businesses consume IT services.

TCCT powered by the underlying Microsoft technology will offer customers the ability to deploy and consume services with faster time-to-market deployment so that they can more effectively respond to rapid business fluctuations. Under a hosted infrastructure, customers can be ensured of privacy and security, which will also help reduce the time and cost of IT management, giving customers a web control panel from which they can directly manage their infrastructure from anywhere with virtualization and automation. Customers can also choose to use services on a pay-as-you-go model to avoid the need for any heavy upfront investment.

“The emerging virtualization phenomenon, combined with TCCT’s ambition to become an Asia Hosting Hub by launching the Dynamic Data Center, is fostering a digital data center society. Our partnership with Microsoft demonstrates that TCCT has the required number of certified engineers, professional experience and necessary core competencies for providing Microsoft Hosted services,” said TCCT Managing Director, Mr. Kosit Suksingha. “Furthermore, this deal results from gathering strength from collaborating with international partners, such as Intel and Microsoft in terms of knowledge sharing, deployment and consultation expertise. We believe that offering Microsoft Hosted Services will help us to widen our customer base not only in Thailand, but also throughout the region via partners, especially through our 'Asia Data Center Alliance’ (ADCA) partners in Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia.”

The three core Microsoft solutions that TCCT is now offering to business customers are Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V which allows for Virtualization, MS Exchange 2010 for messaging, collaboration and Office Communication Server (OCS).

Virtual Private Servers (VPS) with Microsoft® Windows Server 2008 R2 and Hyper-V
Customers who subscribe to Virtual Private Servers (VPS) will experience a speed-to-market that is unprecedented. The traditional process of procuring hardware and installation in the server room typically takes up a minimum of four weeks. However, a VPS based on the user’s actual needs of memory, processor and disk space can be provisioned within ten minutes. This speed-to-market allows customers to stay ahead of today’s rapidly changing business environment but more importantly, to stay ahead of their competitors.

Moreover, with Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008R2, TCCT is able to provide Live Migration services, staying true to their commitment to maintaining maximum uptime for all their customers. Live Migration services are particularly useful in scenarios where production servers or network hardware need to be replaced.

Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008R2 also stands out for its easy integration with other Microsoft solutions ‘Microsoft Premier Support’, which gives customers ongoing access to comprehensive support directly from Microsoft. Moreover, as the latest virtualization technology from Microsoft, Hyper-V is laying the foundation for data center providers such as TCCT who are looking to provide cloud services. Indeed TCCT chose to start offering Microsoft® Hyper-V as the first step in their ‘Journey to the Private Cloud’ initiative using Microsoft’s industry-leading cloud computing technology.

Microsoft® Exchange Hosting 2010
Having offered Microsoft Hosted Exchange services since Exchange 2000 version, TCCT has now become the first service provider in Thailand to offer Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2010, in recognition of its rich enterprise functionalities that include email, calendar, contacts, backup, Office Web Access (OWA), Push Mail & Sync Mail for mobile and integration with other popular mobile enterprise services.

Moreover, TCCT offers a Web Control Panel whereby users can conveniently manage and control the system themselves from any location, while the company’s services can be tailored to suit the needs of individual customers, going beyond normal enterprise email services with support for a wide variety of mobile devices, comprehensive security and lifetime upgrades to help customers migrate to latest versions.

Microsoft® Office Communication Server (OCS)
TCCT’s infrastructure is now also ready to provide OCS services, which have been proven to dramatically help businesses enhance their efficiency. TCCT can help customers either integrate OCS with existing Microsoft solutions or expand it to include unified communications by connecting it to IP telephony, including corporate IM messaging and internal voice calling systems.

“We are extremely pleased to be working alongside TCC Technology in providing hosted services and taking these important steps towards the Cloud-dominated era,” said Dr. Prasopchoke Pramongkit, National Technology Officer, Microsoft (Thailand) Limited. “We believe that with TCCT’s extensive experience in providing reliable and customizable data centers and Microsoft’s latest technology, tools and support, we can offer businesses in Thailand an unrivalled customer experience from start to finish, with peace of mind that their data is secure and accessible 24 hours a day. Looking to the future, we see this as an important step in helping to prepare businesses in Thailand for the widespread adoption of cloud computing technology with this as a premier hosting hub in Asia.”
