Asia Data Center Alliance Held Annual Conference 2013 in Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand, September 12, 2013 – Five regional leading data center companies - 1-Net (Singapore), AIMS ( Malaysia), CMC Corporation (Vietnam), HKCOLO Limited (Hong Kong), and TCC Technology (Thailand); as part of Asia Data Center Alliance (ADCA),attended ADCA Annual Conference 2013.

Amongst the topics discussed at the conference by members were the increase in IT usage and demand in data centers and connectivity sector especially the demand for Cloud from both inside and outside Asia (Asia Pacific). The members shared trends, industry knowledge, and also discussed further action plans concerning each member’s business expansion and collaboration under ADCA’s new vision, “Many Brands, One Experience”.

Within this annual meeting, Asia Data Center Alliance (ADCA)’s new chairman was elected. Mr. William Wai, Senior Vice President of HKColo, Hong Kong is now ADCA’s chairman whereas Mr. Chiew Kok Hin, CEO of AIMS, Malaysia is the vice chairman. On this occasion, ADCA members thanked Mr. Kosit Suksingha, Managing Director of T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd. for the leadership and contribution made as a chairman during the past year term.

Since ADCA was established with the aim of contributing to the industry and societies in terms of data center, infrastructure, and connectivity services provisioning, ADCA partnership signifies more tangible outcome: to create data center, infrastructure, and connectivity services standard on price, performance, and quality throughout countries in ASEAN. Moreover, ADCA members offer services based on “Multiple Sites” which are members’ data centers located in 5 countries. This will enable remote accessibility and redundancy for customers.

William Wai, Senior Vice President of HKColo, a member of ADCA said, “Due to economic growth and the coming of ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, MNCs from Europe, North America, South America, and further to South Africa will come to locate their operations more in Asia. Furthermore, Asia consists of many emerging economies, mostly are members of AEC. To support these businesses to grow and perform well, ADCA creates “World-Class Remote Accessibility” from multiple sites of data centers. Enterprises can use data center services with remote accessibility from anywhere in the world. The services are topped up with fast, low latency, and reliable connectivity. In short, ADCA creates a “Regional Hub” for all customers.”

ADCA will allow customers whether enterprises from any industries, ISPs, content providers, telcos, or any enterprise end users to use the services anywhere in Asia and even the world with the same “Regional Standard”. The standard will be enhanced with reliability, security, and convenience for customers.
