BankThai has selected data center provider T.C.C. Technology (TCCT) to provide Disaster Recovery (DR) Services for its online Internet banking business.

The three-year outsourcing contract to TCCT includes disaster recovery services to maintain business continuity for BankThai's online Internet banking. TCCT's infrastructure will provide colocation for BankThai's Internet banking servers and will enable BankThai staff to carry out online banking processes if an emergency relocation is required.

"We are pleased to provide BankThai with a comprehensive solution that includes: hosting and availability monitoring for their Internet banking systems, high-speed communication links from their headquarters to our backup site, network and security management, as well as 24x7 support and maintenance," said Mr. Kosit Suksingha, General Manager of Sales and Marketing, TCC Technology.

TCCT's Disaster Recovery Center includes working areas outfitted with complete office automation and connectivity requirements. The server hosting spaces are equipped with highly available power and bandwidth, precision cooling, and advanced networking and physical access security. These facilities enable BankThai to enhance its IT contingency planning, as mandated by the Bank of Thailand, by expanding its Internet banking function to an offsite operations center.
